Oktoberfest 2008
DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA .OCTOBER 16TH.17TH .18TH .
ARTICLE BY ; ROBERT HARRIS -" SKY SOLDIER".

Beautiful weather but attendance was noticeable down.
I kept running into people I met on my 6 month journey this past summer. I met many beautiful people and it did my heart well to see some of them in Daytona.
In my last article I said I would let you know how things went for the Tribute Bike at the many bike shows and being a man of my words here goes. Tropical Tattoo's "Old School bike show" on October 16th. Not my type of bike show. The Tribute Bike is not " Old School" . I did get to see some excellent old school bikes and they just keep getting better. Reminded me of the chopper I had in the mid and late 60's. A 1953 pan head engine rammed into a knuckle head frame with a 1/4 inch rake and a 21 inch extended springer front end.
On to the Boardwalk Classic Bike Show on October 17th. The Tribute Bike entered the Boardwalk show three times in a row and like the 2 shows prior the Tribute Bike once again walked away with the prestigious " Peoples Choice Award" hands down.
The following day on October 18th. it was the Tribute Bikes 4th. Rats Hole bike show, and as in the past the Tribute bike took first place in its category.
It was then on to the " Best Of The Best Bike Show" at the Putnam County Fairgrounds in East Palatka, Florida on October 19th. The contest was between all their past winners from their past 13 shows ( Thirteen ) . The Tribute Bike once again walked away with the 6 foot tall Trophy along with a $ 250.00 check made out to "American Vets Tribute Bike, Inc." thus being the first check to be lodged in the Non- Profit account. Hopefully it is only the beginning of things to come.
Coming up next the Tribute Bike will be the main advertised attraction at the Ron Jon's Surf Shop Bike show in Coco Beach, Florida on October 24th. 2008. I am looking forward towards being their guest of honor.
Our web-site keeps growing so keep checking us out at www. veterantributebike.org
