IRON HORSE HELPERS RIDE FOR VETERANS ,
LEBANON, PA. 1st. AUG. 09.
By: Robert Harris.

Nice weather – Nice ride – Nice people.

After a totally bad experience at the Carlisle, PA Bike Rally it did my heart well to see roughly 200 riders show up to support such a worthy cause.

The sky’s opened up for the day of the run. It was an honor and my pleasure to ride with them on the Veteran Tribute Bike. It was good to see so many of my brothers from the Vietnam Vets MC Chapter B show up.

I was hosted by Barry Jacobs

(Barry Jacob and Robert Harris and the Tribute bike)
and his family as well as all the Iron Horse Helpers who put the whole thing together and I thank them for their hospitality  and for what they did for our Vet brothers at the Veterans Hospital in Lebanon , PA. They not only raised and donated over $15,000.00 to the VA Hospital but they gave out bags of toilet articles, clothing , and other needed items to every single Vet at the hospital with some left over for future inhabitance.

After meeting so many people at my last fundraising effort who took their freedom for granted it was nice to see so many people who showed their appreciation and support for those who defended those freedoms. Vets and Non – Vets alike.

I had the pleasure of meeting Scott D. Wagner, Deputy adjutant General. Bureau for Veteran’s Affairs, Dept. of Pennsylvania as well as Master Sargant William Meiser from the 201st Red Horse Squadron, PA. National Guard who both posed with me for a photo in front of the Tribute Bike.
