Daytona Bike Week
Daytona Beach Florida
4th. – 5th. – 6th. March 2010
Article by Robert Harris – “ Sky Soldier”
For me and the Veteran Tribute Bike the 4th. , 5th. , 6th., of March 2010 was a busy but successful three days.
On Thursday the 4th. the Veterans Tribute Bike walked away with Peoples Choice Best Of Show hands down and $2,500.00 dollars at Orlando Harley Davidson’s Annual Bike Show.
Fought heavy traffic all the way to Daytona to meet up with Romy and the 9-11 Foundation crew at the Dog House on main street to present them with a check to help their most worthwhile causes .
Photo: Robert Harris ( center ) hands a check from American Vets Tribute Bike Inc. to Post 911 Foundation President Scott Neil ( Left ) to benefit “ Romy” as General Scott of Special Forces MC ( right ) looks on.
Friday the 5th. came much to early but ended with the Tribute Bikes second Peoples Choice Award in as many days at the Board Walk Classic Bike Show.
Saturday found the Tribute Bike at Destination Daytona and the Rats Hole Bike Show. Once again the Tribute Bike walked away with first place in its class. Three days – three wins.
The biggest prize of all was not winning the $2,500.00 but giving it away to worthy Veteran causes. To us Veterans its just brothers helping brothers. If we do not help each other no one will.
I work as a volunteer for “ American Vets Tribute Bike Inc”. I do not receive a salary. I pay for my own food. I pay for my own accommodations.
Many civilians cannot comprehend how someone could give that kind of money away, which brings me to the down side of my bike week experience. Some low life scum had started a vicious lie in the bike show community saying that I cheated to win the money and that I lied when I stated that all the money would be donated to worthy Veteran causes. That I was taking the money to stuff my own pockets for my own use and pleasure. I now find myself having to defend my reputation , honor, and that of the American Vets Tribute Bike, Inc. It is my hope that all the motorcycle magazines & publications that I forward this article along with photo and back up letters will print all to lay these vicious accusations to rest once and for all.
As for the punks who are behind this smear campaign. They will be exposed and I will leave it up to the Veterans themselves to deal with them accordingly in a manner they see fit .

I will close this article with the following :
Right is Might.
You reap what you sow.
What goes around comes around.
It is better to give than receive .
You can’t take anything to the grave with you.
My actions speak louder than words.
A picture is worthy more than a thousand words.
When you get to the pearly gates God is not going to ask you how many bike shows you won or how much money you won. He will ask you what have you done for humanity .
What I write is not necessarily indorsed by the editor or the publication.
I stand behind my writing’s.
All gave some – Some gave all
Time was serve - Time to honor
The nation which forgets its defenders will itself be forgotten
If you love and enjoy your freedoms donate to organizations that help needy Veterans, defenders of your freedoms. FREEDOM IS NOT FREE. WE ARE THE LAND OF THE FREE BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE.
