VETERAN TRIBUTE BIKE ROLLS
INTO CONNECTICUT.

Article by  Robert Harris.

After visiting with my good friend “ Rocket Man” ( North Jersey President of the Vietnam Vets M.C. ) ( See photo) and his lovely wife Kathy , who was the love of my life in a life long ago I headed for Connecticut. My first stop was Danbury Harley Davidson  on 6th. August for their bike and car cruise night at 51  Federal Road out of my great respect for Don Clady Publisher of this great  Motorsports  Publication. I haven’t see Don for years and it was good to see him again. Danbury Harley were good  hosts and I thank them for their hospitality.

I spent the next nine days with my good friend John of Savon Rocket Customs and his family  in West Heaven, CT. It was good to see John again . He along with Mickey Judd of Trinity Choppers in Hamden , CT. were the first  to work on the Tribute Bike a few years ago. Yes, the Veteran Tribute Motorcycle was born in Connecticut . It did my heart well to spend some time with Mickey and John.

I spent my first few hours in Connecticut with Don Clady and it was only fitting to spend my last few hours with him before leaving  the State and I did it at “ Cruising”  the Green Cruise Night in Downtown New Milford on Sunday 16th. August. Showing up with the Veteran Tribute Bike was my way of  saying thank you to Don for printing all my articles ( un – edited). Thank you so much for your donation to help homeless Vets. God Bless  you my brother.

The day was a scorcher but a nice day all the same .I had the pleasure  of  meeting many old friends and acquaintances once again who I haven’t see in years. It was a good re-union of sorts.

A special thank you to Joe Dipietro for his help. Good luck with your CT . 612 Vietnam Memorial. God Bless.

I left New Milford around  9:00 P.M. and headed for New Castle , PA. for a one week stopover before heading home to Florida.

I have been on the road since April 4th. and look forward to going home.
