It was an honor and a privledge to attend the Allied Victory Living History Day & The 63rd. Annual Reunion of the WWII 314th. Infantry Regiment of the 79th. Infantry Division at the Plaza Ocean Club Hotel, Daytona Beach, FL. on 25-26-27 Sept. 09 when invited to attend by its organizers.
I was more than just a day of living history and a reunion of the 314th. Infantry Regiment. The 90 foot Iraq Memorial Wall was there to honored the countrys fallen from that conflict. The families of the resent fallen were honored by Daytona Beach Mayor Glenn Ritchey who presented them with the keys to the city. Schlorchip checks donated by the " Allied Veterans Of The World , Inc and Affiliates" were given to the 314th. families of the fallen . Members of " Bikers Against Child Abuse" from the Tri County Chapter were present to lend their support as well as memebers of Rolling Thunder Florida Chapter 8. I was schedualed to be at the Thunder Beach Autumn Rally, in Panama City Beach, Florida that same weeked but apted for this more worth while event. I am glad I did. As always , it did my heart well to see so few do so much for so many with so little. GOD BLESS THEM. GOD BLESS AMERICA.
